Free two-hour street-level and undergound parking is available for clients in the West Block building parking lot.
  • Fees
As per the Psychological Association of Alberta Recommended Fee Schedule, the hourly rate for sessions is $220 per hour. To qualify for this, clients will be asked to submit their annual household income prior to booking, and based on need, a subsidized rate may be given. Payment will be processed at the end of each session, and an electronic receipt will be email at the end of the day. Payment methods include cash, E-transfer and Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). A credit card is required to book the first session to secure an appointment spot.
  • Cancellation Policy
Clients will receive a 48-hour email reminder for sessions. If a client is unable to make a session, 24-hour cancellation notice is required. The full fee for the session will be charged for appointments cancelled less than 24-hours, and for no shows.
  • Coverage
Psychological Services are not covered under Alberta Health Care. Extended Health benefits may cover Psychological Services by a Registered Psychologist. Psychological Services are also a tax-deductible expense.
  • Sessions
Sessions are 50-minutes long, with the last 10-minutes of the hour used for client record-keeping. The initial sessions of both individual (adults and teenagers) and couples’ therapy will be 90-minutes long. This session includes reviewing Consent for Treatment, completing an assessment and collaborating with the client to determine a treatment plan for subsequent sessions. Sessions may be weekly or biweekly, depending on client need and treatment plan. The length of treatment differs for each client.
